Colours are pouring in via fashion this summer and giving the bright sun some serious competition. To update you on the same, we have here a quick look into the Spring/Summer 2012 collection of bYSI.
Balancing the smoothness of pastels are colours such as orange, yellow and turquoise playing strong and stylish. Be it colour blocking or peplums and tailored skirts, it is all ruling here. The high-fashion sense of the 50’s and 60’s can be predominantly seen in this collection.
This is the initial inspiration that they took in addition to the 60’s ‘Demi Couture’. Drawn from the Haute Couture influence, they give a modern interpretation to this collection. The collection is made uniquely to complement every woman and that is reflected through this categorisation:
– Silhouette: Hourglass, nipped waist
Key Colours: Pastel softer hues such as pink, cream turquoise, yellow
Key Features: Peplum, puff sleeves, pencil skirts, cropped jackets
A blend of retro elegance a la Jackie O with more romantically fitted high wasted, slim jackets worn with mid- knee length slim pencil skirt. The flashy, slightly pop colors of vitamin charged smoothies: turquoise, powder blue and pastel softer hues create a playfully girly mood juggling vintage patterns.
– Silhouette: Straight, slim, low waist
Key Colours: Pop colours such as pink, orange, royal blue
Key Features: Shift dresses, slim pants, lace, square collar tops
Tailored and classic but with a touch of bold and edgy, adorned with fabulous vivid colours is the influence of this collection. A very clean style in fresh colours, this simplicity enables the experimentation with new associations and new manners of wearing garments. A combination of edgy and classic look combined. Demi Couture gives twist to the vintage look, adding touch to basic silhouettes with elegant use of lace. It gives a look of modern simplicity with delicate feminine detailing.
