Diesel as a brand does not need an introduction but here it’s just not that stirring a discussion. Instead it is the luxury sister concern of Diesel as the same is launched in India by the name DIESEL BLACK GOLD.
This is the first standalone store in India and only second in the world. Luxury Italian brand Diesel Black Gold, the high end exclusive line of premium fashion and lifestyle brand Diesel, recently hosted an exclusive private party to announce its launch in the Indian market at DLF Emporio, New Delhi.
The evening held at the Diesel Black Gold store, featured a live performance by one of the hottest musicians in the country, Sahej Bakshi, better known as Dualist Inquiry, who brought an infectious energy to the party with his unique style of playing electronic guitar along with his music.
Speaking on the launch of Diesel Black Gold in India, President and CEO of Reliance Brands Ltd., Darshan Mehta, said, “Diesel Black Gold has only been available as shop-in-shops in a handful of Diesel stores worldwide, so the fact that the first standalone store apart from New York has been opened in India, speaks volumes of the strength of the Indian market for a unique brand like this, which appeals to the luxury shopper who has a discerning eye for premium quality but at the same time, doesn’t take himself too seriously.”
As guests mingled, models showcased the Diesel Black Gold Spring Summer 2012 menswear collection on a massive wooden center table, taking turns lounging, sprawling, lying down, or simply perching nonchalantly, almost oblivious to the party swirling around them. Full bar and cocktail hors d’oeuvres kept everybody in high spirits through the evening.
