When we talk gems, women should better lend all ears. News is that Gemfields – the world’s foremost coloured gemstone producer recently announced their association with world’s leading 36 international and national jewellery designers and showcased a truly one-of-a-kind collection of jewellery – each piece created by using Gemfields emeralds, rubies and amethysts. Now that sounds tempting. Doesn’t it?
The gem sparkling news was shared through a fashion show at Taj Mansingh in Delhi where the designer collaborations showcased not only the beauty of the gemstones, but the range of shades, shapes and sizes that make up Gemfields’ portfolio. From precision cuts, cabochons that look like candy to slices that are ruggedly organic, each Gemfields Zambian emerald, Mozambican ruby and Zambian amethyst was the starting point for a bespoke creation.
The collection was unveiled in London, and is currently on a multi-city tour in India, starting from New Delhi and will culminate at the exclusive Couture show in Las Vegas. The pieces, ranging in retail price from US$1,130 to US$750,000, reflect the bold aesthetic of each designer in the form of fine jewellery.
Also, the company has recently appointed Mila Kunis as the Global Brand Ambassador and the face of its latest advertising campaign. A natural fit for Gemfields, Mila was chosen for her natural beauty, versatility, intelligence and love of rare coloured gems. Commented Mila, “It’s really a luxury to own jewellery and gemstones. If you’re in a position to do so, you’re fortunate. I think it’s important to pay attention to what you’re wearing and where it came from”.
Some exclusive collaborators include Amrapali, Bina Goenka, Duffy, Farah Khan, Jasmine Alexander, Kimberly McDonald, Natasha Collis, Theo Fennel, Zaiken, besides the many others.
