A: With views of Victoria Harbour and the surrounding cityscape, all the rooms and suites are lovingly dressed with pure linen bed sheets, a pillow menu that includes goose-down versions, and designer bathroom products by Hermes and Acqua Di Parma. They also have outstanding facilities that include two telephone lines, an interactive entertainment system, SMART lighting controls, DVD players, an in-room safe, wired and wireless high-speed Internet access and a personal bar. In true Mandarin Oriental style, added details that make a subtle difference are offered, from an innovative pass-through valet box to a specially created stationery kit. Binoculars and multi-lingual butlers are available.
Q: Elaborate on the facilities in the hotel for in-house guests?
A: As a children friendly hotel, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong also offers a wide range of amenities for younger fans to enjoy. For example- a library cart shall be available for kids to borrow story books from, and a chocolate pass shall be hidden in different areas of the hotel for them to discover.

-Pierre is our stunning two-Michelin-starred restaurant, situated on the 25th floor that offers floor-to-ceiling windows framing Victoria Harbour and is Pierre Gagnaire’s pied-a-terre in Hong Kong. The restaurant is led by Chef Jacky Tauvry, who has beautifully adapted to Gagnaire’s intricate and elaborate dishes. It is the contrasting flavours, use of seasonal ingredients, and creative as well as innovative dishes that make this restaurant a must-try in the hotel.
-Mandarin Grill + Bar is long renowned as Hong Kong’s favourite dining room and has retained its Michelin star for the sixth consecutive year. It is here that Executive Chef Robin Zavou serves an exciting adaptation of grill specialties combined with a dash of progressive gastronomy. High-quality ingredients and seasonally inspired dishes remain the backbone of this restaurant as well as delighting guests with a few traditional dishes that have remained on the menu since the restaurant’s opening in 1963.
-Man Wah is Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred Cantonese restaurant that is often referred to as Hong Kong’s most beautiful dining room thanks to its imperial splendour and panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong cityscape. The menu perfectly illustrates the talented culinary team’s mastery in creating authentic dishes that are local favourites and dim sum, alongside seasonal specialties, and all with flair and a modern touch.
-The Krug Room is set in the heart of the hotel’s vibrant kitchen and is a must-try for all visiting gastronomes. This sophisticated 12-seat restaurant is designed to re-create the intimate surroundings of a train carriage, boasting stunning views of a fast-moving kitchen, along with forward-thinking gastronomy. It is here that our culinary team turns the passion for creativity into whimsical and spectacular gourmet creations. The result is an astonishing symphony of shapes, textures, colours and tastes that seduce the palate as they tickle the imagination. Each menu is accompanied by the diners’ choice from the largest collection of Krug champagne in Asia. Dinners vary from 10 to 14 courses.
-The Chinnery’s secluded location, tucked away on the first floor of the hotel, contributes to its club-like atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and escape from the hustle of Hong Kong. Originally conceived as a private gentlemen’s club, women were admitted only in 1990. Guests can enjoy a menu of traditional British dishes, such as Roast of the Day and Fish & Chips, alongside a selection of Indian curries for both lunch and dinner. Boasting over 120 varieties of whisky, The Chinnery is among the most extensive collections in the region. Q: Could you share a little about the connectivity of the hotel?
A: Located in the middle of the Central district overlooking Victoria Harbour, Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is ideally located for all major attractions. The hotel is only forty minutes’ drive from the airport, next to Central metro station and Hong Kong station, and is connected by air-conditioned walkway to other Central areas.
Q: Further to the earlier question, what is the easiest way to get to the hotel from the airport?
A: The hotel is only 40 minutes (drive) away from the Hong Kong International Airport.
Q: For all the prospective guests and shopping lovers, please tell us about the closest shopping hub to the hotel?
A: On both ground floor and the Mezzanine floor in the hotel, you will find many boutiques from famous luxury brands, such as Piaget, Salvatore Ferragamo and John Lobb. Also, cross the air-conditional walkway from the hotel and you will arrive at one of Hong Kong’s most famous shopping mall, The Landmark in Central.
